Don Brunson asked me to write a letter of recommendation upon completion of an extensive remodel and update of an Older Home my Brother and I co- own in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas.

In 1950 our parents met with an Architect to design and build a 1,000 sq.ft. frame home.  They lived in this home making updates of brick, aluminum siding, storm windows and doors, and central heat & air as they could afford it.  Over the years water leaks occurred from the roof & plumbing and they were repaired accordingly.  Upon our parents death in 2007 my brother & I became the co-owners and my daughter lived in it.   The fall of 2011 we decided to hire a contractor to do an extensive remodel + update.

We met with several contractors whose names we got from the yellow pages.  We thoroughly checked them out the BBB and customers who had them do remodels.  What sealed the deal for us was a tour of 2 homes Don Brunson had remodeled.  It was evident they could do all we needed with over-the-top quality work.  Don met with us 2 or 3 different times to help us plan what needed to be done and what we could afford to have done.  He was willing to work with us and let us do what we could ourselves so we could afford it.

In Nov. 2011 the kitchen was gutted to the wall studs & the subfloor and the bathroom to the studs & floor joist.  My brother did most of the electrical & Don’s electrician finished what was too difficult for my brother.  A painter retextured wall papered walls, patched some big cracks so you couldn’t tell what was cracked & completely painted the interior with new modern colors.  A plumber relocated water pipes, replaced a gas line with a small leak in it, and installed a tank less hot water heater.  A carpenter made custom cabinets in a design chosen by my daughter.  A tile man did an excellent job with floors, backsplash, tub and shower.

Don Brunson personally answered every question we had whenever we asked him.  He kept us updated on what was being done.  He met with us after hours & on weekends to point out to him things we needed him to relay to his workers.  Don is a perfectionist & paid close attention to detail.  He employs quality craftsmen in his company.  His company can handle small jobs to new buildings.

Despite Thanksgiving, Christmas & now New Year’s holidays to work around Don completed this job & had my daughter back in the Beautiful, completely updated home in slightly less than 2 months.
